I just don't think I can get over belief that advertised watts > *.

Mostly because of the ineffeciency of my surrounds.

How did your build go? I want to be sure it is the receiver before I essentially give these away.

Type 45 triodes are a pretty popular choice in the SET world...and they're 1.5 watts maximum before clipping. All about the speakers used.

im ignorent, i do this for a living aswell as other things and have done so for years.

besides if denon isnt one of the best why do there amps win so many awards hmmmm?

if you have the money mcantosh is nice or even full seperate componet marants at 30,000aud or hell while we on the subject of what is good Harmon Kardon do a setup worth just ubder 350,000 but he said 400bucks so i suggested the best in that price range

I am not sure if my reciever isn't up to par or they **** themselves.

The sound is muffled and not dynamic.

It is like there is a pillow in front of the speaker if that makes sense.

That sounds like there is something else wrong.

the entry level Denon and theere?? ext level up im not sure about there but here they are the primo shiit any1 whos any1 in home cinema has DENON or onkyo if they can afford it and harmon kardon int bad either but dont for gods sake get genercs like sony or pioneer or keenwood etc go for a proper hifi related amp i likey the denon vey much our home theatre arm of the bisiness installs probably 80% denon products (amps not speakers) over the rest then onkyo folled by yamaha

Yeah, I wanted black too at first -- but I think I'll buy some bamboo laminate and relaminate the whole set. DHL already tried to deliver them today, I found the notice on lunch break. +1 for Fry's!
