Best 15" sub for music on 3k

since when? my zcons played as low as I wanted full tilt
You know any sub can play low. How well is the question. If I remember right and I could be wrong the ZCON was designed as a high power, stiff suspension with decent but not high excursion with a little lower motor force then it should of had. Meaning its a lot like the XLs needing lots of power.

Zcons and xls both get low ... And xlm2s don't need LOTS of power lmfao

that may be the case, but they did it very well in my case

with right around their rms given to them

Lol I've ran the XLs for over a year. They get **** on by the DDs. The XLs could not handle the airspace needed to dig with output. That's why they require such small boxes, they are very inefficient subs. I tried 5 boxes tuning from 30-38, the 1.5 cubes they like don't let them drop like you would expect. I ran 2500 per sub they they never reached Xmax unless the box got bigger then they could handle. These DDs do the same numbers plus .5 15hz lower then the XLs ever did.

I have never heard that Crossfire kill the lows. They do hit high 40hz very well. As for the SP4, if you're not running 4k plus its pointless. I've been around them, that excurrision is non exsistant.
Then you have never heard my truck ;-), I have owned more subs then I can count and those xsv2s are monsters, and not sure what sp4s you have seen that have no excursion, but then again u recommended dd9500s so I considered the source of who was saying it and it all made since then

I got a 15" crossfire xsv2 tuned a little lower than 32hz on 2200rms and it murders the lows... I can only imagine what that sub does on more power!!! High output enclosures designed my box and its efficiant as hell.

The new DD is not the past DD, catch up with the times. DD has been on top since the 80s when Fi was still a sperm. I had DD in the 90s and I wish I never left them.

Nah still the same DD overpriced for what you get, nice stuff tho

What does it meter and where is the peak? Some say a sub murders lows but can't break a 42 under 35hz. Just cause it shakes stuff don't mean it's loud.
