I love AQ, HDC's are loud as hell, but I kind of agree, I've not heard one that sounds very musical. That's why my choice is Ascendant, just as loud, but more musical.

Most of that is the box....my hdc 4s are as musical as i need a 150 setup to be

Op this is a trick question as each and every sub has its own place some excel in certain areas while others excel in others in each and every situation what sub may have been the best in past setups may not be in another. So to your your question all we can give is personal experience which may not exactly work as you would expect for your situation

his hdc 4's sound alot better than the hdc 3's he had. they hit alot lower also
