best 12's for sealed enclosure

L7s if you actually look at the specs of the subwoofer are made to be put in a sealed enclosure, they are just more used in ported bc they work there as well.

So I would say the L7s for that budget, maybe get 1 12 or 15 and add more power

1000w x 1 @ 1ohm 76% eff @ 1ohm. I dont know if thats what you need. I listen to all types of music. also i have plenty of space so thats not really a concern. right now i have tow memphis m3's in a box with 1.1 cu ft. sealed.

Eclipse SW8200 is where I would look. They will get loud, low, and sound great. They have 38mm of xmax and do really well in sealed enclosures so they will be very loud. I would go slightly larger though and give each sub around 2 cubes sealed.

thanks for the info, might go with the eclipse. the first box i built for the m3's has 1.75 cu ft per sub. Any idea why the m3's sound so terrible. 1st experience with memphis, and dissapointed. anybody know how the type r's sound in a sealed box.
