Ive had the same issuse with Fords....If that is the case with the bulbs, start checking grounds as one may have failed leading the ECU to "find" a ground to use. (using the bulbs as one maybe)

A while back I had an IS350 with a very random misfire in cyl # 4. Well after a week of diag, I actually found a connector that the ground were not stripped out and just crimped into the connector. Stripped the wires, re connected them to the connector and walla!! fixed. After that, I got dam near all of the IS's with that issue.....

We work on everything in our shop and I could go on forever with some of the crazy **** i have seen on cars. I am the one and only diagnostic tech for my shop. The european cars are the worst . ******* track wiring diagrams ****!

probably gonna try some diagnosis tomorrow or monday.

if it is simply a leak in one of the lines...then why is the pump so loud?

The pumps usually do sound louder in my experience when they have a leak. It could be going out like the other guy said or the pump could have a crack or something in it and it could be your leak

its been loud ever since I noticed the problem. whenever i unlock the car or start it which is when the airmatic would usually activate, the pump comes on and sounds almost like a motor! its a really weird sound but MUCH louder than when the car was functioning properly (it was a simply whisper of air when the car was rising when functioning properly)

sorry dude , but there is no such thing as a "american car" and there hasn't been since the 70's in fact some so called forein cars are more american made than american cars. Also american cars are not even close to being reliable . Ifyou think you have a good car than go get it inspected at a good shop and see what happens.

meh...Given the choice of a Benz on staggered 20's or a crown vic......i'd havta go benz. The car has given me no problems until this. I'm not just gonna go sell it because of an issue. Did your mom put u up for adoption when you peed in your bed?

Very true. Most of the electronics on that car (Vic) are made for Ford by Bosch......
