i'd look for a sub with tons of xmax if you wanted IB

type r's are designed for a ported enclousre, which doesn't require the sub to move that much

in an IB, the subs move a LOT

That's what I'm rockin' now,pair of 12"IDv.3's.Dont want to spend a arm & a leg on ID Maxes.Been looking at the PPI DCx subs which have been recommended over at the diymobile forum,along w/ the Orion H2's.
