So I have been out of the car audio scene for 11 or so years and now have the space in my truck to add some subs. I am leaning towards some Polk MM 12's DVC4 ohm, due to the box location (under rear seat). The are rated 425w rms so I am looking for a 1000w amp to power them.
Now this is where the problem arises, I have been reading how most all amps are being built in china now and their quality has gone down hill, and it seems a hand full of company's own the name rights to most main stream amps. So I would like to know of some recommended amps that would fall into the 1000w (real power) @ 1 or 4 ohm with a quality build.
I still have a Audio Art 100hc and a blown Cadence A7hc I would consider using seeing how everyone says "old school" power is the way to go. But the 100hc is a current hog, but does some good clean power if you can supply the voltage.
The A7hc is blown but I have no clue where to get it repaired, it did over 1000w and was a great amp.
