Low voltage light

My low voltage light went on when mmy amp wasnt even playing i was re wireing the turn on and put it back on it worked. Took it out then screwed it into the amp. Turned it back on and now the low voltage light turned on and i cant get it to turn off.

I figured it out but have one last problem. How do I know If my amp is getting signal? I dont think it is as i went to set the gain with a voltameter and was getting no output out off the speaker wire outputs on the amp.

you can check the RCA's with the meter and see if theyre putting out
