Be an ok setup?

I currently have 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12d vq's 4ohm dvc 400watts rms 1600watt max. i was going to sell them but they didnt sell when i needed the money so now im going to keep them. As for an amp i was looking for get a Hifonics BX1000D push 1000x1 watts max at 1ohm. So i could wire my subs down to 1ohm. Do yall think this amp would be plenty big enough....i wouldnt think that i really need to step it up to the BX1500D.. i just want it to slam wich im sure it would if i had the BX1000D figure after i tune the gain id be pushing around the RMS on each sub so this should be a safe setup for them. give me any info or advice that you might want to had i appreciate it. i delt with alot of systems but nothing really all that good till now, so when it comes to the big boy toys im kinda new.

it should work, use a DMM to set the gain to limit output @ 800w.
