ok i want to add some more batteries in my car the one i got up front right now is a cheap farm & fleet 900cca battery and Ive noticed heavy dimming when i have the vol up past 40 i haven't done the big 3 yet but plan on it . if after i do the big 3 if it don't help the dimming if i change out the front battery to a yellow top (i believe is dry cell) and put 2 more dry cell motorcycle batteries in the trunk could i wire them up the way i have drawn out below as a 12 volt set up on my stock alt witch is a 120 amp or would i have to go with just one battery it would all be wired up with 1/0 awg except for the wire going to the amps it would be 4awg

so even if i wire pos to pos and neg to neg ide end up with a 24 volt load .and its a uni body car that why i was going to do another run of 1/0 awg back up to the main bat so i know i would have a good ground

Aren't motorcycle batteries 6 volts? If thats the case then you'd have to wire the two 6 volt batteries in series and parallel them with the front battery. I'd stick with doing the "big 3" and if needed I'd invest in a good battery like a Kinetik. Even the smaller Kinetiks will have more current reserve than the two motorcycle batteries.

yeah it would be wired up positive to positive and negative to negative with 1/0 awg wire .and the motorcycle batteries that i was looking at are 12 volt and 350 ca im just wondering if my stock 120 amp alt would be able to charge them all up or would i have to get a high output alt to keep them charged up .im just getting tired of replacing batteries this makes the 2nd one ive had to put in they will last about a year then they start going bad im going to have the alt checked out to see if that aint the problem but if it was a bad alt why would it take a year for them to go bad
