battery upgrade

i want to upgrade my system in the next year but i want to put in a sub that uses 1000-2000 watts rms and i was wondering will i need to upgrade my battery or alternator? right now i only have 300 watts in my system and i am going for a huge overhaul.

yes.... you will need 4 gauge or bigger (i'd suggest 0 gauge) also what amperage is your alt

Depending on the size of your alternator. If big, than you need the big 3 with 0gauge wires and an extra battery in trunk, that will do.

I seriously doubt that alternator is that big if it's stock. I'd say about 105 if its stock.

my 4 runner was only 60 amps , so op no it wont ,you'll need at least a better battery

I'd say the bigger the agm batt the better, best ah you can get to fit there.
