battery trouble

turns out my amp somehow boiled my battery. Anyone know where i can get one for cheap? Also, Should i get some special kind of battery that can take a lot of power? I got a 93 Mitsubishi Eclipse 1.8Liter. Any other advice?

Its impossible for your amp to boil your battery.

A screwed up battery will boil when you try to charge it though.

Goto Wal-Mart and get one of those Exide orbitals.

dont i have to get a certain type of battery, i mean just any old battery wont work will it? like..to fit in car.

Well you need to get one with the right physical dimensions, any of the store personnel should help you find the right size, you just pick the brand name you want.

yeah theres a sizing chart... just follow that. and get a 12v one.

12v, why? My dad was talkin about gettin 2 batteries and puttin one in the trunk...i thought itd be easier to just get a capacitor if i was gonna do that....but this "get a 12v" post.......should i make sure its 12v i need to know what the "guidelines for buyin a good battery" are =\

don't buy a capacitor. installing a second battery isn't that hard.
