Battery Terminal Question...

I installed a HO Alternator yesterday, and I am installing an optima yellow top in the next couple days... but before I do, im looking for battery terminals.... what are the best ones to get, id actually like to get the digital display if possible...

The other question is... to my negative terminal, there is the stock 6guage or so, and the 4guage I installed for the BIG 3...

The Positive terminal has 2 6 guage, and 1 4guage to my amp disto block, and 1 4 guage for the big 3....

What kind of terminals can support all these wires, most I see are for 2 4-guage, or qa 0 guage, and a couple 4 guage...

Is there something out there that I can combine 2 4-guage into 1 oguage or something to plug into the new terminals?

get a terminal that has a stud sticking out of the top... put your r ing terminals you have on ur wire on there, and use a wing nut to hold it down

Well I thought of that, but it just seems kinda ugly looking that way...

I like the neatness of the type where the wires can be inserted... if possible.

ALSO -- Where can I get Large Guage Crimpers? I cant seem to find any that will work on a 0awg ring terminal, etc...

The knuconceptz terminals are pretty nice, and also have a bolt on top for a ring terminal that doesnt look like crap. As for the ring terminals, dont crimp, solder them solid.

There is no need to crimp and solder. Just solder them solid and you'll be fine. Plus it looks a lot better than a terminal that has been flattened.

It arrived very fast & was much cheaper than buying from SnapOn or Matco dealers that come to my work.

sometimes they gotta be crimped, like when you cant find a 2awg ring terminal, and use a 4awg terminal that has been spread out, had the wire put in, and put in a vise just enough to hold the wire in place... or maybe thats just me.... but i soldered it solid too... makes a nice clean look, and helps reduce the chances youre gonna cause resistance at the terminal

um i crimp all my connections...thats the point of a crimp ring terminal...lol THEN you solder AFTER you crimp it. and that crimper tool you got rules, i used it on mine.

Those are nice, they're what I use in fact, but they won't be any good for what he needs. So for him those are a waste of money.
