i got my new system and i was wondering which battery to get to power this system. should i get a stinger SPV44 which is a decent battery cause one of my friends has this battery. says it is power and perfect for audio applications. or should i get a batcap 800...which is compact in size and is exceptional in aduio aplications.. it is a battery which produces power as fast as a capacitor 100fared cap to be exact....anyone has any opinions or suggestions on other batterys?

Which has the higher amp rating? Is one deep cycle and one not?

Also, batteries and caps are really only useful (for the most part) if you have the electical system to support the current draw you have in the first place. I'd look into a H.O. alt before you spend a bunch of money an a battery that your current alt won't be able to charge.

well the stinger battery is a deep cycle and the batcap is not...the batcap was specifically made for car stereos. stinger has a quality name behine them in my own opinion. but i have never dealt with any batcaps here in my state. they are competition batteries and about 1/4 the size of normal batteries. i had my alternator looked at and it is a good one. my truck is a 2003 chevy s10 xtreme and everything under the hood is an upgrade...i was just wondering about the battery options

I'd go with the deepcycle, but what do I know, nussing. Do you know how many amps the alt puts out? also, what are you running stereo wise? (I only car about amps an ohm loads)

Subs- i was getting 2 audiobahn ALUM12N 12" woofers or 2 MA AUDIO MA12D4 12" COMPS.... a friend had 2 of the same series audiobahn but they were 10's and he was slamming that is y i was looking at those.... but i like ma sound quality...personally i want some shivas, bhramas or blueprints but i cant find any right now ha

i am not shure wat the alt is putting out but i think it is sufficient

i believe your putting out only 105 amps from your alt. pretty sure of that. Id recommend upgrading it. I got be a 235 amp alt for my s10, that puppy is one bad mutha.

While we're talkin about batteries, I was wondering if anyone has used one of these: http://www.batterystore.com/Odyssey/PC925MJT.htm

I'm just planning on 2 mids and a 350W 10" sub with 2 IS Line US Amps right now, and I'm looking at getting a better battery while cutting down on the weight.

The stock alt on the v6s are 105 amps on many of the gm trucks. S10, silverado, tahoe, yukon, silverado, all have 105 amp alts. Is your extreme a 4 or 6 clyinder? If its a v6 im positive that its a 105 amp alt.

yea it is a 6 but it is not a stock alt..everything under the hood is aftermarket just about...and i kno for a fact that the alt was replaced cause i saw it taken out and new one out of the box putin....now wether it was the same model or amperage i am not shure but i know that it is not the stock one that my ruck came with....sry if i sound like a jackass haha

Find out the amperage of that altenator before you do any battery upgrades...

aight...thanx....um.....this is the same type of alt that a friend had in his truck and he had, i believe, a 3600w system and it was fine and mine is not that much mine is only going to be about 2500(for now) hahaa
