Battery relocation or not?

Im starting to buy stuff for my next sound system, and since my car battery died yesterday, i decided to go ahead and just get another battery, so i got an optima yellow top. The thing is, the battery is taller than my older prostart, and becaise of this, when i close my hood, it bulges out a little, and makes my car look like it got into an accident. The two top terminals are hitting my hood (No problem, they still have the rubber covers, so my question is, if anyone has a 95 grand am w/ this bettery what mods did you do to make the battery fit better, or should i just relocate the battery to the trunk? Im nervous because if i relocate to the trunk, will the vibrations from the bass kill the battery, or worse make it blow up? Stupid question i know, but just wondering.

Relocating it to the trunk won't hurt anything. I used to run dual bettery set ups all the time. Just make sure that the power wire going to the starter or alt. (which ever your case may be) is of adiquite size and does not have the hazard of getting cut or pinched anywhere.
