Battery questions.

This winter my Deka went completely dead three different times due to my alt dying and now after charging over night my charger will put the needle at 0a and 100% but the charge complete light doesn't come on (I think it may have burned out, it's an older charger) and my battery will sit between 12.5 and 12.3, now will I have problems when adding three group 31's in series in the rear?
