Okay, so I recently purchased a MB Quart DSC 2000.1d and MB Quart DSC 480. I'm going to be running 2 Alpine Type X 10s with the DSC 2000.1 (1000 rms to each sub at 1 ohm) and I'm going to be running RE Audio 6.5 components up front and RE Audio 6x9 rear. I'm doing the BIG 3, I have a stock 140 amp alternator, and a Rockford Fosgate dual amp kit 1/0 gauge with distro blocks into 4 gauge wire.
Questions: I plan on buying two new batteries (75ah up front, and 100 ah back). Do I really need two anl fuses between both batteries?
The wiring kit came with one 300 amp fuse anl… Also should I buy a fused distribution block for amps since the dsc 2000.1 doesn’t have fuses (the dsc 480 has fuses…)?
Can I forget the distribution blocks all together and run 0 gauge to dsc 2000.1 and 4 gauge to dsc 480 from battery in the trunk?
The dsc 2000.1 has 0 gauge inputs; would it be bad if I used distribution blocks in rear and ran 4 gauge to both the dsc 2000.1 and dsc 480 (both power and ground dist blocks are 0 gauge in and 4 gauge out)?
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.
