Battery Question

ok im doing my battery installs. i was just curious. I have one deep cycle batt(huge) and a regualr batt(duralast gold) to go in my hatch to help with voltdrop. is it really gonna make a diff if the batts are diff?

I hope your not putting a lead acid battery inside your car? I does matter because the deep cycle will cycle faster pulling from the weaker battery

so would it be better to just run the the deep cycle battery by it self

assuming your alternator is stock, it may have problems properly charging both batteries. this could lead to both batteries draining down from inadequate charging. running the deep cycle battery alone may help, they are not normally designed as a standalone battery for starting the car. they typically have a much lower cold cranking amp rating, so make sure it has enough to start your car.
