Battery question

I bought a used kinetik hc2400. Its not installed yet but i checked the reading and it gave me 12.5v. It has been sitting uninstalled for a week. Does that reading sound good? Or does it sound alright?

Im total newb with batteries!

Guy i purchased from said it was used for a year that is why im asking.

technically 12.6 is a fully charged battery but since yours has been sitting for a week 12.5 is fine if it goes under 12 put it on a trickle charge

I would hook it up to an agm maintaining charger until it is installed. Mine rests at above 12.85v unless I have ran it down. Mine is over 5 years old.
