Hey guys. I have a 2007 tahoe ltz. I am about to install sound deadening and one of my target areas is the roof. My question is about the side air bags. On the headliner right above the a piller it says "air bags". I don't want to try to drop my headliner and activate the airbags. Does anyone have any experience with this? I guess what I'm asking is if I take down the headliner am I going to disturb the air bags?

you shouldnt they are activaated by a sensor just dont cut any wires i have been lucky enough to not have to mess with deadning a roof with the side airbags yet..

Yeah I definitely won't cut any thing. I am with you. I have never dealt with side air bags. All my other vehicles have just had the front impact. I would prefer not to mess with it, but there are a lot of rattles up there, and I have always had good results with deadening the roof.

another good result i have had not sure if you do this or not but i would is while you are up there use some good expanding foam between the roof braces and the roof to tighten them up..
