Battery question

A local salesman told me that Optima don't really last long in hot condition... I live in the equatorial region, it's kinda hot here especially at noon, add that to the heat of the engine, you can guarantee that it will be very very hot under the hood... so will this kind of heat would really shorthen the life of optima?

I really dont know the Optima that well, but I am pretty sure that the heat would not "shorten" there lifespan, Over charging and some other misuses can make a battery not last as long, but this heat should not effect it, I mean if it was 120 degrees everyday then you may see some but I dont know your weather there?

That salesman is a chump, Optimas will work fine.

He was trying to promote Kinetik... might buy the kinetik though cause he's selling it cheaper than the optima...
