Battery question.

I am currently running 2 D34 yellow tops under the hood, with a 200 amp alt, but I want to upgrade my electrical system because I plan to add another 150.1 or get another amp (at least 3kw). My question is, would it be better to get a good starter battery and put the 2 yellow tops in the back or keep the two YT's up front and add a bigger batt in the back (hc2400, g31 ect,).

Since you already have the YT's, I would just toss them in the back and get a decently sized starting battery.

depends on the type of space you have. advantages that you get with 2 yellows in back and adding a starter battery is basically costs but add a 2400 in back to what you have now (if you give it a couple of good wire runs) is a good consistant reserve to even add more power later...
