Battery Q: Top or Side Posts?

So the old stock AC Delco battery in my '04 ZR2 Blazer finally crapped out on me. Well it only had side posts, and now I've replaced it with a DieHard Platinum P3 which has top and side posts. The thing is as of the moment all of my wiring is to the side posts since thats how all of my wiring was setup, but now I've read in a couple of places where the side posts aren't as strong and for things such as large car stereos, the power should be ran from the top posts. Is this true? (And apparently it states this in the Optima brochure that comes with their batteries.)

And I'm running a Stinger HO 220amp alternator. Would I want to run the power wire from it to my top post or leave it at my side post? Thx.

if you are worried about it connect stock wires to side post and stereo and accs to top post

Never heard of that, I have run top and side post. Might just depend on how much weight is on the side post pulling it. Either way is fine.
