Battery Problem, car died today, suggestions please!

I have a 2004 sebring 4 door sedan with about a 400-500 rms system. i have 4 gauge power, 8 gauge ground (4 gauge is coming in the mail) and a stock electrical system. I think that my system is draining my battery because it wasnt that bad before. So what can i do to stop the drain? I am also experiencing light dimming when bass hits.

Should i get:

-2nd battery

-Big 3

-New alternator

-something else?

thanks for the help, and if u have any suggestions as to the brands/where i can get some of the stuff, that would be great. I just dont want my car to die on me again and i might upgrade my system to around 650-700 rms. Thanks for the help!

Have you though of a cap that will defenetlly stop the diming not sure if it ill stop your battery problem though

caps are crap..just try getting a better battery for under the hood

i would get your alt looked at first just to make sure its working right

let me take this to another level how old was the battery that died? was it all corroded? some dimming might happen with that power but not alot. that ground upgrade will help so will the big 3. if your battery is dead i would replace it with a battery more apt to handle car audio like kinetik or along those lines (deep cycle capable as well as starting)

yea dimming isnt too bad just added that in cuz its a little when turned up almost to max rms that my subs take. im not really sure how old the battery was. ive only had the car for about 5 months, but i think the battery wasnt that great because it seemed weak when starting the car b4 i installed my audio. im looking into a kinetik battery for either my trunk or under my hood. should i put one in my trunk and keep a stock battery up front or just replace the one under the hood? do u think i need a HO alternator? i dont really want to get a new alt but if it has to be done.. thanks for the help, keep the help coming.

well the battery isnt dead, i had someone jumpstart me so it might need charging but im not sure.

my battery is hard to get to so i cant tell if it is corroded. its in a wierd position close to the front left wheel.

i have mine under the hood for almost 2 years now and i do more than just audio. my amp is about 450-500 a/b watts. i have had 0 problems as it sits and i only have a 70 amp alt. i also use my truck as a power supply when i race rc outdoors and it still works fine

so u have a kinetik 1400HC, i think i have a 95 amp alternator. how much is a kinetik 1400HC. and if my battery isnt dead, do u think i should get a 2nd battery for my trunk?

wouldnt hurt but unless you plan on adding to your system the second battery wouldnt even have to be that big..600 or 800 would work. people go to milliion buy alot here to get them

so what do u think i should do? get a 2nd batt to run the subs off of? if i plan on upgrading my system, the most i would want is the kicker cvrs which are 400 rms each, so 800 rms but my amp is only like 600 rms so probably around there. what battery would i need for that and what price? btw thanks a lot for the help man.

I like the kinetik 800 so thats what ill probably get, do u guys think this will stop the drain on my battery? could it have been a short in a fuse or something that drained it? thanks.
