battery position

is there a downfall on putting the battery sideways instead of stand up? my trunk isnt big enough. i have to put it sideways to fit. kinda like this pic

as long as they are dry cell you should be fine

Never position a conventional Lead-Acid battery in any manner other than top up. Optimas are sealed Dry-cells, so they won't leak acid
