Hi new to forum, have had a lot of stereos over the years in cars and boats. I have never ran lithium before currently have 4 optimas bluetops in the boat. Have a new system going in truck and would like options... 2013 duramax crewcab, stock 2 batts up front, will be running orion xtr 2500.1 to 4 sundown sa8s, and orion xtr.750.4 to alpine x componets .. mechman 370 alt. I think my underhood temps especially while towing would way exceed what a underhood lithium could take can i keep my 2 starting batts and add a lithium and isolate? One big lithium? I see the xs titan 8s look impressive. I want to be able to run stereo HARD with truck idling... what would you guys do or reccomend?

I would just switch those 2 batteries out for 2 good, stock replacement AGM batteries. Paired with a 370, I know you you can run at least 4 1000 watt amps no problem. That's my current setup in my truck

I think that Alternator does 210? At idle. Would just 2 agms be enough? I think that xtr 2500 will pull like 300a by itself.. Im looking to be able to play loud for extended periods like when at the dunes and such..

My current setup is 2 80 ah Stinger SPP1500DC's and a 370 mechman pushing 4 JL JX1000.1's and 2 JX400.4's in a 2011 Silverado 1500. I can say, even playing music at idle for, maybe not multiple hours, but at least 45 minutes to an hour, maybe a little more, I've never had a problem with voltage.
If you want to run a lithium, any with the LifePo4 technology can be used, but they say you should use an isolator. I haven't done that myself. But I've also heard of people running 2 alts, stock alt and H.O., with the H.O. going straight to the stereo battery and the stock alt pushing the vehicle
