battery light came on in car

i have a yellow top up front with a hifonics bxi2006d powering 2 L7's my battey light on my car just came on, do you think its my battery that is screwed up or? i have 0 gauge with a 200A circuit breaker near the battery and then 0 gauge running to the amp not sure what i should do...

Is it lighting on bass notes or staying on full time now? If full time, measure batt voltage when cars off and when its on. see what the numbers are.

well last night was the first time that it has ever came on...i will check the voltage with the car on and the car off...im hoping i didnt fry my alternator cause i cant afford a new one...the size of the alternator is a 110A and i have a bxi2006d with 0 gauge and a pioneer 860mp

well im sure it could be a few different things....besides what the book has to say...well i just came back in while the car was off the voltage is 11.8, when i started the car, i put the DMM back on the battery and it read 11.5, would that be my alternator? or the battery?

Alt. Check fuses and stuff first though ( Fused alt link ) If you dont have the fused link of any fuses on the innfer fender or anything, your alts fawked.

here is an idea. start the car, and while running, disconnect the batt. if the car still runs the alt would be working, if it dies, then you probably have an alt problem

Your alt. is fuxxored. I hope it's the fuse...

X(i dont know how many by now) alt.

should measure about 14.5v if your alt is charging the system

P.S. you dont have long before your car isnt gonna start or will die when running (you have been running battery only seance that light came on)

Time to bum a ride to autozone or pep boys
