do they give ur system the amperage on them (like it may say 200a does thats mean that its kicking out 200amps to the alt or 2nd battery

Isolators do not produce any power....they just reroute it.

If it says 200A, it means that is how much power it can route to and given batt.

It seperates your electrical system in to two seperate systems.

(ex, 1 alt...2 batts...the 2 batts are not connected, but both are charged by the alt.)

ok so if u got an amp thats drawing 200a current the isolator is allowing the 200amps to go into battery so the car voltage wont drop

all it means is its gonna let the alt push 200 amps through to the other battery....(if you can supply it)

so all the 200amps from the amp will be running off the battery thats on the isolator

All the 200A means on the isoloator is the max current that can go through the component before it fails. Thats it.

Ive never used one. Ive ran anywhere from 2-5 extra batteries for the past 4 years in daily drivers, and never had a problem
