i am giving myself an headache reading post about this. cause everyone has something differ. so my situation is that when i had my die hard batt up front and 5 optimas in the back about after 5 months my truck battery started to die. i thought i would be good because my battery bank was still read 12v when the truck was off. so now that i replaced my die hard with a shuriken batt am i safe or do i need to invest in a battery isolator

I was speaking with a Hellroaring tech a couple of months ago and it seemed like the way to go if you have more than one battery, but there certainly seems to be a lot of folks who think it is not needed. If I had 2 batteries I would like to isolate my starting battery from my audio, but that's just me I guess.

well i got 5 so i think i will i had a guy a while back told me i needed to i never listen and i will be ****ed every of my past systems with multi batteries have killed my main battery after about 6 months

I use the stinger sr200 relay. Front and back batts are disconnected when the relay is off. They are connected when the relay is on allowing you charge the back batt. Been using this setup for 6 months or so with a rf 1100 amp batt in the front and a powermaster d2400 in the back. I have mine connected to a toggle switch so that I can connect and disconnect the batteries when I please. Borg Werner R3098 is identical to the stinger for cheaper. Do a search if you are interested.

Ive been using that same isolator for over 2 years without a single problem or single dead battery.

I've been using the same stinger isolator (also called sgp32) and it broke last week. Some wire into it became loose and disconnected. I solder that ***** and it's now back in the game

I would use one if you love to listen to music with your car off
