battery isolator and alternator amperage question

hello if you can tell im a newbie around here and joined because i need help in connecting my system,and where else better to join,well this is the first question out of plenty that will follow, i currently have a 250 amp alternator and i also have a s2402 stinger battery isolator which is not hooked up yet,but my question is that the isolator says 240amps and my alternator is a 250 amp what could happen if i hook it up??

By just looking at the schematic I'm guessing the diode blows. Don't take my word for it.

Why are you using an isolator again? Is there any special purpose?

hello and thanks for responding but i was going to use it because my batterys are different,i have a yellow top optima under hood and two stinger sp1000 in trunk(btw nothings hooked up yet because im just trying to find info out before i install everything)only thing hooked up is 250 amp alternator and yellow top under hood.i dont intend on playing system with radio off at all,i just heard that batterys shouldnt be different so i was just gon install it till i noticed that the isolator was 240 amp and i realized that my alternator is 250 amp thats why im asking.

factory alternator that i took to a alternator repair shop,he rebuilt the entire alternator and made it a 250 amp with dual rectifier on it.it is a cs144.
