System I am planning is around 2500WRMS, and I will be running 2 batts;

Guy up the street is running a 10k system, and is making it on 5 batts.

3 solid batts might get you by....but I question whether or not that 270A alt can handle an 8100WRMS load

What impedance are ur subs + speakers ?

dual 2 ohm wired to 1 ohm and 2 xs power d3100 in the back and the optima yellow top up front or maybe 3 kinetik hc2400s ?????

...You need a new Alt for sure, that is a huge amount of power, what kind of vehicle is it? There is a good possibility you are going to need more than 1 alternator for that job, but if you wanted to look at it in terms of batteries, yeah it would need like 5 or 6 which can do some damage to your alternator if not setup correctly. Start with a new alternator...IMO, look into multiple ones

What is all this BS about not mixing brands and needing huge ass alts to run 3000 rms?
