Battery ground question

Any suggestions for good self tapping screws? This is in the trunk of a Nissan Sentra. I put my grounds in the bottom of the trunk right near the back seat in the corner. How far below the bottom of the trunk is the fuel tank?

You want to ground to something attached solidly to the frame (because your alternator is grounded to the frame as well). That's why seat bolts are good points. Find something similar in the trunk or drill out a hole to get to the frame if you need to. When you're talking about power wire, you want it as short and fat as possible to make the least resistance. Positive or negative side doesn't matter because it's all one big loop the power has to go through. Never ground amps to thin metal or something that's not near to the Frame. Having a separate ground for every battery is probably overkill in your case. One run of 1/0 would be fine if it's short. ... but would be good to know how many watts you're talking about and more about your electrical like what alternator you have.
