This was on the dodge forum. Poor dude. Thats gotta ****.

It was determined that the alt over charged it.

Im thinking the reg must have gone bad in order for the alt to keep charging.

And the reg is inside the cpu on those vans.

Was a 2000 dodge.

Wow! The entire electrial system on those vans is just behind the battery. His is completly missing. Fuse panel, wiring harness, etc; gone. Melted away.

ya, It was totaled.

The second pic. That rectangle thing bottom left was the fuse center. The cpu is (not shown) mounted to the fire wall left of the power steering/brake pump assembly. Im surprised (as well as he was ) that the fuse didnt pop.

Looks more like a dead short across the battery terminals. That seems a bit too catastrophic for just an overcharge.
