Battery Cutoff switch would it help?

a yes i am looking at these on ebay, would it help if i had one on the back battery to prevent it from draining the other battery at night when im not in my vehicle? cause i am not going to get a isolator, i will just use the stereo when im driving, but i also am worried that the back battery will drain my front when im not in it? would this help cut it off from power when i turn it off, then turn it back on when i want to bump? thanks

use the same type of batt front and back and you wont need an isolator or cut off switch for sure.

Only reason to use an isolator is if you play your music while the vehicle is off.

well at first for now they wont be the same batteries so i kinda am worried that it would drain? also would it be fine just to have a circuit breaker after the front battery and fuse that i could switch to keep it from going through? then switch it on when i want to play?

I think you'll be ok without any cutoff switch or isolator.

I use a cut off switch for my back battery.

it works fine.

I have a kenetic 800 rear that rests at 13.2 or better

and a optima yellow top up front that wont take more than 12.7

so if I want my kenetic to ever be fully charged - I have to manualy turn off the switch that connects the two batterys.

im actually so paranoid that I have 4 manual electrical cut offs in my vette

and incase of a disasterous event happening = I can turn off battery power to my entire car to save it from burning to death or full electrical melt down if anything ever goes terribly wrong.

you will be fine without no isolator or cutoff.

As long as you dont mix a shitty battery and a nice one.

well its a stock front duralast battery and a contenintal marine deep cycle battery for the back, i know it probally wont be as good as a yellow top or kientik but for now thats all i will have to work with till i can get some more money to spend on some good matching batteries, im broke, lol

im sure itll work, check the voltages of both of em. as long as they're within the same ballpark of each other, youll be fine.

i just need to get by for a while but im not expecting full power out of my kicker zx2500.1 but i can live with that till i can, as long as i can get by for awhile with this setup.
