Battery Charger for Optima yellow top?

Since that battery is a deep cycle, I would go to West Marine and buy a ''GUEST PRO''. This is an 10 amp charger that will quickly bring the battery back to a full charge. It also charges the battery in three stages and will top it off and you won't have to worry about it overcharging or boiling it to the point that it sulfates.About fifty bucks ought to do it.

Sorry I did not see that you posted a link for a charger off of E-bay. Dont buy that piece of crap. You get what you pay for. A 10 amp charger will bring a deep cycle back much quicker!

are they not hooked up to the alternator?

or are you talkin' for when they're DEAD dead?

Autozone will recharge them for free.. Either that or the 2/20/40/starter chargers from craftsman are pretty decent for the money, they're a rolling cart deal, around $100, although i'm not sure what purpose the 40A charge is, it just boils the piss out of batteries, and kills cells

Just make sure it says it's compatible with dry cell batteries, i think it charges them on a duty cycle, rather than constant voltage

Go to Sam's Club and buy the Schumacher SE-4220 charger. Its $80 and will do 2A, 10A, 40A, and has a 200A jump start setting. It will also charge 6v and if you happen to have a 16v battery it will charge it too.
