How hard would it be to do my own recone? Shipping is a bish, so would I be better letting im do it and eat the cost

Worst case scenario is that you would have to drill new holes in a new basket so it would work with your motor..

My avatar is an 18" RE Destroyer / 18" Concept CSP with a 12-spoke basket ... 18" Destroyers were not made by RE and 18" CSPs were only prototypes and those came with 6-spoke baskets...TeamPSI had to custom cut the parts for me.

I'm buying a 12" MT basket for this motor from one of the guys on here. When I get teampsi to recone it how would I know the specs on it? Would the treo or the re specs apply to the sub, or would they be a mixture of the two?

you'll have to get the woofer re-tested....none specs would transfer except the BL (strength of the motor) which is not affected (if im not mistaken) by the soft parts. TeamPSI may have a way to measure the specs or you can buy a Speaker Tester from PartsExpress.com and measure it yourself...they are $100. If you wanted TeamPSI to ship it to me I'll measure it for you then ship it to you but I don't honestly expect you to choose that option.

I have faith in most people on this forum, so it wouldn't be a trust issue, but it would be an issue of shipping which is already gonna piss me off sending it to him and getting it back. Hmm.... I hope he has one to test it with or I may have to buy one or ship it to you. How will the tester tell me the rms of the sub?
