Basic deadening for component install: minimum

I'm gonna be replacing my current front component speakers with a set of Rainbow speakers. (2000 Grand Prix). I dont want to go overboard as I'm not sure the value per $$ spent is worth it... I'm not worried about road noise for example as my system is usually playing above what road noise makes it in. I mean, it'd be nice not to have road noise...but at what cost?

Whats the minimum i should be doing with this install? Eggshells behind woofer?

Mainly worried about getting better SQ.

Maybe other people have had better luck than me with this stuff but in my old car i had over $1000 worth of Dynamat in my car and i didnt notice any difference at all. Didnt help my trunk either. For me it was a major rip.

you had to of done it wrong then cause deadening makes a huge diff. i'd do at least a layer on the outer skin and the inner skin. use the non hardening model clay around the speaker too makes a huge diff also
