Bandpass Sub Encosure...

Ok here's my dilemma... I plan on getting 2 12" Fi Q subs, but want to put them in a bandpass enclosure for my 95 Integra... but i dont think they'll perform at their best in a factory built one. Does anyone here know of anyone on this site that can build one? I know Spy does excellent work on sealed and ported enclosures, but don't recall seeing anyone have a custom bandpass box made on here. Can anyone help me out here?

i was debating on whether or not i wanted to go sealed or bandpass cuz i want them to sound good on all frequencies, and although i do have a hatchback....i dont have too much room in my trunk. bandpass boxes are good if built correctly.. 4th orders have a sealed and ported chamber.. so they still have the tight sealed sound but get loud like ported.. but they have a smaller band of freqs they play

odds are you would need a huge box in order to get them to preform ideally.. i wouldnt either way

go sealed, it will sound the best and 2 12" Qs will get plenty loud

yeah i think sealed it is....and since there going to be sealed...i think im going to get the 15"s cuz i wont have enough room to port 15"s

since you can fit 2 15's sealed, why not do 1 15 inch Q ported at around 30hz and save some money on power.

I could design you a killer bandpass. Would be a good bit louder than sealed and still sound great.

although sealed might be easier, and cheaper, bandpass isn't totally out of the question. with the right install and dimensions, you can probably get louder with a bandpass box. but ya, with limited space(trunk), def. go with sealed. bandpass done right requires huge amounts of room

yeah...im trying to get as much bass as i can out of the space i have but it still sound good on most frequencies. so once i get my income tax check, im getting those Fi's with dual 1 ohm voice coils, Lanzar MXA282 amp set at 2 ohms per sub, so it should put out 1650 watts max, and add another battery to the mix and ill be bumpin, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
