Baffel problem

So you have an MDF adapter plate (baffle) to use a bigger than stock speaker? It looks like a workable install, if the thickness of the baffle doesn't make the speaker stick out too far to get your door panel back on.

Can you get a jigsaw and enlarge the hole so the speaker fits? Where did you get it from?

Once you have the speaker properly fitted to the baffle, you should probably reinforce it with more attaching screws. Also consider putting a ring of dampening material like Peel & Seal or Dynamat under the baffle - that could help a lot if the baffle is vibrating against the door.

You should definitely do what I suggested with the fiberglass. You can make it sealed to the MDF baffle and have a small sealed enclosure if that is what you would like. It is a really simple project that anyone can do. If you can read the directions for the resin, then you can do it. I did it with a similiar set up and it came out perfect. Good luck man!
