if a factory setup is your referance....then you just need to upgrade your headunit and speakersOne of my friends has a Pontiac Aztek, Its pioneer from factory . It is amazing, clear, pretty powerful, no rattles, and the bass isnt overpowering. Could you guys tell me what I need, to have a sound system like that.
I got 2 rocksford fosgate 10"s in a costum box with a 760watt pioneer amp, and 2 6x9 200watt pioneers. that just doesnt cut it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif its got bass but you cant feel the bass as much as in a aztek, its more if just a sound. Its just not as clear, maybe its the way its built. can you tell me what you just said without abreviations( SQ, HU) and what are tuning features? sorry i am a noob //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifOne nice 10" or 12" built for SQ a 200 to 400 watt amp rms and some nice components. and A HU with some nice tuning features.
yeah they got, i think 2 10" pioneers subs from the factory, and like i said I got 2 subs and some speakers.if a factory setup is your referance....then you just need to upgrade your headunit and speakers
if thats not enought add a sub and amp
if you still want more get an amp and some component speakers
^^^This. If you dont want much, which you dont. Go find a amp that is rated at 200 to 600rms (actual power) not peak numbers, peak numbers mean nothing. With a Headunit (HU) that has some nice tunning features, and some good components. For the application your asking about if you were getting 750rms you wouldnt be saying it wasnt enough. Oh and Id say tune your box around 38hz to 40hz IMO.You got to take into account that your subs aren't getting 760W all the time. I'm guessing your amp is rated at max 760W but RMS somewhere in the 200W range. You're 6x9s aren't getting 200W either, prolly around 15W from your head unit only. The Aztek may sound better cause it has a more powerful amp powering the subs and/or an amp for the component speakers as well.
this is the HU(lol) I have.Dual XDMR7700 CD player with MP3/WMA playback at Crutchfield.com^^^This. If you dont want much, which you dont.
