Frying radios, amps are getting messed up (not the amps fault), wiring is a complete mess, etc.
Its just a pain. Going to be hard to get the wiring nice and build the type of amprack that I would like.

Now Im thinking of redoing all my highs and fitting more amps (will have 4 amps on highs). That will make fitting the amps under the back seat harder since there will be 6 of them most likely.

After that I would have to glass pods on my doors for more 6s and bullet tweets, figure out somewhere to put 15" mids that doesnt look like ***, find somewhere to put horns, run speaker wire outside the car to put a few Selenium horns outside, etc.

Then figuring out all my wiring and making sure nothing else goes up in smoke.

Just alot of work, time, and money.

I originally bought this truck to be a daily driver... Was going to put 2 10s under the seat, a set of comps in the front and back, and a single amp to run it all. Just a quick weekend install, never to be touched again.

Now Im looking to tweak things so I can get to around a 151-152.

I cant leave stuff alone.

Thats what happened when I had my Expedition. I had 6 15s on 3500rms below the windowline. I decided to upgrade amps. Then I figured "If I upgrade amps, I can redo my subs too. But if I upgrade my subs, Ill need a new box. If I redo my box, I will need space for batteries since Ill have more power. This way I will wall it behind the back seat. Well, if Im doing all this other stuff, I might as well wall it behind the front seat. If Im walling it at the B pillar, I might as well go all out." So it went from a simple amp swap to the huge wall I had.

It sucks.

Got bored last night, did some work before I went out. Put about 30 sq ft of glass on top of the 2x12s. Still got some more to do today.

the base can be mdf easily since the glass is flat.

Way too deep to put in the window. There will be D250 horns as well. If I made a pod over the window it would stick out 1/2 way over the seat.

Just did more glassing on the top of the box. Another 20 sq ft prob.

Well when the whole RCA melting thing happened, I think it shorted something in the radio and might have messed something up in my 2000.1. I have been running a friends old school Alpine in there for about a week now. I put the Clarion DPX11500 that I keep as a spare in just to mess around with it and see how it sounded. Yesterday I decided to go back to the MB Quart amp. Wired it all up, double checked everything. Turned the ingition on and heard a small pop, and smoke came out of my dash.

So now the amp is being looked at. It worked great until the whole RCA thing where my radio fried. It had to mess something up in the amp where it probably back fed into the radio.

Tomorrow I gotta call Pioneer and see about getting my 880PRS fixed. And Steve at Amp Medics is looking at my MB Quart amp right now. Guy is a lifesaver...20 mins after the whole incident the amp was on his workbench. Cant beat that.

Right now Im at the point where I dont have a radio or sub amp in my car. And I gotta rip the radio out and check all the wiring because it pops a 15a fuse every time I put one in... So right now I dont have AC, tacho, or speedo.
