Seriously man, check all the amp grounds. Sounds like one big nasty ground loop. My friends blazer was doing the EXACT same thing. Killed two $350+ headunits, a powerbass xa3000d, and a kicker 650.4.

Please try grounding the amps straight to the battery before more money goes into the fire pit.

I am about to order a 1500.1d MBQ, do you think I should just **** it up and buy the 2000.1? Is it pretty efficient? I would only keep the gains around 1500 because I don't have that strong of an electrical system. What you think?

It was just a temp ground to the back seat bolt... But the first radio was because the RCAs arced on an amp, and the second one was because the amp was messed up from the the RCA grounding out like that.

If you need the extra power, go for the 2000.1. Never used the 1500.1, but if you got the cash, the extra 500rms would be nice.

You used liquid nails right? Hows it holding up? Im using it on my current box and everyone is telling me to go wood glue lol.

Don't listen to gmonk. Liquid nails expands as it cures. You don't want expanding adhesion for your wood panels, do you? nope. Stick with the titebond

ive always used titebond II for the joints, ill use LN on the inside to seal where the pieces meet though.

i have used liquid nails on every box, never had problems, i use titebond also though sometimes

I've also used just liquid nails years ago when I had a single pbx 15 and directed 1500d. I was blowing the box apart all the time. Hopefully you have better luck.

Thats how bad it flexes with 1,000rms... And the Liquid Nails is holding strong. Ill have pics up in a bit of the brace when I figure out how to get them off my new phone.

As said, with only 500rms on each BTL, it somehow cracked the weld on the last brace. So a new one was made. Going to bedlinder the box, so I sprayed this one with a textured stucco sort of white pait, then went over it with a black, then a clear satin. Should blend great when I bedlinder the inside of the box. Anyway, pics.

Random pics of front of box and some glassing I did on the top in the bed. Still leaked a little so I glassed around the foam to try to help the seal some, and put some silicone on the foam around the front of the box. Hopefully it did something.

This is in the bed right below the back window. Like 4 layers of cloth and a ton of resin. Might do more, who knows.

Earlier in the day I got bored and took pics of my buddy Daves van. We built the box for his van a while back and I made a thread about it, but never took any good pics.

Now with my new phone, it takes awesome pics and vids. Completely unrelated to my build, but I wanted to take some pics with it.

Its 8 AA Chaos 15s, 2 Sundown 3ks, single Powermaster D3100 in the back and a smaller Stinger battery up front. Box is legal for IASCA Stock 3, hence only one battery in the back.

Also... As of today I own this van... So this is my new toy. Probably throwing something in it pretty soon just for fun.

What color should I paint it? Will just be sanding it, primering it, and using spray paint. So ideas on color or ideas for a paint job?
