Avalanche Build

My guess would be mid 140s around 35-45hz. Who knows, what it sounds like to the ear at the headrest doesnt really matter when the TL is a pressure sensor on the windsheild. Will be metered tomorrow, too tired to get out the TL now.
Top of the box flexes like crazy though, will be solving that tomorrow most likely.

The 2000.1 seems to be a powerhouse. Right now I have a single 2000 @ 2 ohms on the pair of BTLs and a 2150 running a single set of Hertz HSK165s. The 2ch is great and sounds real nice. Seems to be putting out some nice power. The Hertz though......... Wow. These things have midbass that sounds like a pair of 8" subs. I thought my 2150 was on lowpass at first. You can actually feel the vibration of the midbass in the floor of the truck. The mid gets pretty loud... Its not like like an Eminence obviously, but the mid is great and the tweeter is wayy smoother than the Focals. Night and day difference in sound.
Awesome

I thought about getting Hertz HSK165's before I decided to get ID CTX's

Been happy with my ID's but Ive heard great about Hertz too

With absolutely no tuning whatsoever, and a single DSC2000.1 @ 2 ohms, I burped a 146 @ 40hz legal.

I havent messed with the amp yet, and I think the gain is still under 1/2. Dont even know where the LPF is... Just kinda eyeballed the gain and LPF once before the subs even got playing an havent touched them since.

Like I said, I can bounce a full water bottle an inch off the top of my box, so that should be a huge gain when I fix that as well. I would say a solid .5-1db at least, then when I end up with 4x the power that should raise it as well. Then maybe a little if I round over the port and really fix up the seal and deaden the back doors at all.

Overall, I think a 150 @ 40hz legal should be easy. Id really like to see a 152ish, but we will see what I can get it to do.

Hell yeah!

Imma guess that the 2000.1 does around 1500rms at 2 ohms. Someone already clamped a 1500.1 at 1100rms at 2 ohms.

This thing is going to end up as a **** nice DD!

Very impressive scores man, I think once you get the other amps in their and you box flexing issues worked out, its going to be a monster. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

How is the low end? Pounding I assume? And glad those 2000.1 are working out so well for you, I ordered a 4125 Thursday, and plan on getting a couple of 2000.1s very soon.

The note in Beats 4 My Van is rock solid. 25-50hz is great, and its not super peaky like I was worried about. The kick drums in music sounds like a REAL kick drum, especially with the rims.

I would totally reccomend the amps to anyone, and I would most definately buy them again.

I know the pics are huge, sorry. Ill resize them eventually when my computer isnt being stupid.

Forgot to take a pic of the 2x12s on the top of the box. Will take a pic tomorrow when we do more work.

PICS ON NEXT PAGE, RESIZED AND POSTED BY ANJ.

These Powerware batteries rock. Stock alt, stock wiring under the hood, no external regulator. Just sitting at idle when I turned the car on. They have never even been on a charger yet, even after being load tested and sitting for who knows how long.

Got 3 2x12s across the top of the box.

Audiopipe sticker for the extra deebeez.

Big metal support welded into the box.

Started playing with the port. Looking to see how low we can get it to play.

Still gotta shrink the port to get the tuning to play super low, get a trim pannel figured out, figure out the mids/highs situation in the back, and do a permanent amp rack. Then I want to bedliner the inside of the box.

For highs in the back, I want to glass a pair of 15" Eminence Kappas and a pair of Selenium horns on the front of the box. If I did this, I would need another amp though.

Im thinking of just going absolutely insane on the highs. Any input?
