Aux vs. USB

My iPod will no longer sync with the headunit via the usb port. Would the sound quality be the same as usb if I connected an iPod to the headunit using a 3.5mm to dock connector (such as this Amazon.com: Cables To Go 35508 iPod-Compatible 3.5 mm to Dock Connector Audio Cable (4 Feet): Electronics) as opposed to a male to male 3.5mm connector? If not, is there any way I can get the same quality with the iPod using aux as I did using usb?

i dont know if this is proven, but i always liked using usb A LOT better than aux. the music just sounds more "full". only other way i can think of is making cd's

So you used the 3.5mm to dock connector? I heard that using the 3.5mm to dock connector was better than male to male but I couldn't find anything that said that it was as good as usb. I don't wanna have to buy a new headunit if there's a cheaper solution.

i used male to male and direct connect for ipod integration

if you have the room for a double din, i REALLY, REALLY suggest looking into the pioneer avh-p4300. it is not expensive and really really good

D: whoa the cheapest one I found was $450. I'm just looking for a cheap and quick fix for now. The ipod integration is great... when it actually works. It randomly cuts out on me all the time although I think it may be the ipod that's the problem instead of the headunit since it does that to me on the computer sometimes as well.
