Autotek opinions?

Do you think that Autotek's quality has gone down the tube since Maxxsonics bought them out?

I've considered on buying a Autotek MM4000.1 D, since its rated at 2000w x 2 at 1ohm. I've got a pair of Digital Designs 3515 I'd like to run.

Anyone have any opinions on this amp? I still don't even know where to buy one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

New-school Autotek is junk from my point of view. Anything Maxxsonics-owned is poorly-crafted overseas and tends to be overrated.

I can [almost] guarantee you that amp will not put out 2000x2 @ 1 ohm.

Mmm, does anybody but me remember the Zed Audio-made Autotek amps?? Now those were slick.

seems to me maxxsonics is trying to make a name for itself purchasing companies like MB and Autotek that have or once had a LOT of respect in the industry.

I won't be so quick to write them off. I would think the last thing they would want to do after spending millions for the rights to a brand name is use it to sell crap.

A buddy of mine has the mm2000.1 and it runs all day long at 1ohm with out any heating proplems at all,I think they are great specially for the money,Now if it puts out 4000 watts or not I think mainly depends on ur electrical system!
