Audioque 18 and audio pipe 3000d

you will have to back off the vol after about 2 mins of playing but should be fine if ur careful. only a 4 layer coil and 3000rms could easily destroy that sub...
Remember its only "rated" for 1000rms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

why not just get an ap1500? half the price and will still push that AQ well. the new AP1500's are strappable so if later on you want to add another you can just get another ap

Dude, every 3000w amp can make 1w....all the way up to 3000w. So the variable signal input strength and the gain on the amp will allow you to make any level between there if you are at 1ohm where the amp is capable of making said rated power. It's better to get the 3000d.......IT'S ONLY WHAT......$140 bucks!!?? Don't look at the gain knob as being 1/2=1500w, 3/4=2250w, 1/4=750w. The position of the gain knob does not work like that. Your best bet is to wire it all up and have the gain set by the oldest dude in the back of your local electronics repair place. (guarantee he knows more about how to do that properly than any shop around you). Entice him with a pack of cigs and he might not even charge you.

gaurrented some ******** at store doesnt no anything but kicker around hear lol....my freinds no how to set gains properly and thats who would be setting it up, you just possialby gave the worst advise Ivv ever heard.....140$ lol more like double that +some and also its not stable at 1 ohm's its stable at 2 which is perfect with this d1 sub if u new about audioque

I realize that he can adjust the gain it seems a bit ridiculous to buy a 3kw amp for a sub thats rated for 1kw.
