So the variable signal input strength and the gain on the amp will allow you to make any level between there if you are at 1ohm where the amp is capable of making said rated power. It's better to get the 3000d.......IT'S ONLY WHAT......$140 bucks!!?? Don't look at the gain knob as being 1/2=1500w, 3/4=2250w, 1/4=750w. The position of the gain knob does not work like that. Your best bet is to wire it all up and have the gain set by the oldest dude in the back of your local electronics repair place. (guarantee he knows more about how to do that properly than any shop around you). Entice him with a pack of cigs and he might not even charge you.</p></blockquote><p></p>
