What would you replace a 12" shiva x2 with? Requirements: needs to be 12", single 4ohm or dual 2, and do well in about 1.5 cubes sealed.

What vehicle is this going into, where in said vehicle and what orientation is the subwoofer facing? What do you want it to do....and where do you want this effect to be realized......at the headrest, 10' outside the drivers window, etc?

Ok, it's going in an 08 civic lx. At the moment it's in the trunk, facing rear on 800 watts rms. Looking to get louder to the headrest but not sound like crap either. That TC sub looks interesting. Under $300.

I love the x2, it's pulled home theater duties great before I moved it. Maybe I just need to play with settings more but it just sounds like it isn't reaching much beyond the trunk. I still have to get some sound deadener and that should make a big difference but I wanted to have some upgrades in mind just in case she doesn't cut it for me in car duty.

The shiva is a very nice driver and will be a tuff driver to beat for the price. Give it 1300-1500 and see if that changes your mind 800 is just a tickle..

P.S if its a dual2 and you do sell it let me know I would be very interested. 1.7cf tuned to 28hz ewww I can hear it now.

It's a great driver, kicked all kinds of butt in the HT. Guess I just need to do some more tweaking, consider a bigger amp, and get some deadener before I make a final decision. And yeah, it's dual 2.

Toss in some dead and give it a good 1300+ and I assure you it will become a different animal.

Negative stick with the shiva given the correct power it will get hella loud and sound good doing it. Nothing against sundown but he has no reason to switch.
