i recieved my amp today from ups, it looks awesome but i have 2 questions about it

since theres fuses in the amp do i still need an inline fuse in the power wire? and for the power/ground wire the biggest wire i could fit in the outlet was 4 gauge, is there anyway i can run 1/0?

To be safe yes I would still run an inline fuse. A fuse 12-18 inches from the battery is always appropriate no matter what. The 1200d only needs 4 gauge but you could run 0 gauge back to a distribution block and make a one foot or so run from the block to the amp.

You need the inline fuse under the hood but not necessary close to the amp. You can run 0 guage to it but you will need power wire adaptors. I found them at circuit city but i am sure you can find them at a local shop or on here. just let them know you need a 0ga to 4 ga

so is it worth it with the 1/0 i'd have to buy the wire and the distribution block, i have all the 4 gauge wire all i need is an inline fuse kit

will it cause that much of a voltage drop or will it be pretty unnoticed?

Not worth it with that amp to go 0 gauge unless you have really shtty 4 gauge wire. You won't notice a differnce between decent 4 gauge and 0/1 gauge with 1200 watts RMS.
