Audiopipe is sub-par

wow 5 pages of nothing lol
I have said for a while that AP do not put out rated cleanly. Most do not even do it when clipped.

Yes I have tested them but since I do not have video prof I tend not to say much. However, it is the truth. AP is cheap with poor quality. Not much can be said. If you are cheaping out over $30 then you need to find a new hobby.
I clearly don't agree and I'm not about to find a new hobby, maybe you should be a realist. Who cares if it does dirty power? it still does it and a lot of people run them and are happy. Some people don't give a rats *** about dirty power for $140 this is a ******* awesome amplifier that's why most run it that's why I ran it that's why he bothered to test it, nobody has ever heard of a $140 1500.1D doing rated cleanly and the aP is the closest thing. Fact of the matter is price wise it's a good amplifier and that extra $30 means a lot to me if all I have in my pocket is $140 and I need an amplifier that day.

Why does he have these amplifiers if they are so ******? why is running a test? Why is his word fact seems like theres a lot of blind nuthugging going down. Why are you selling you AP1500.1D used for $130 when you can get them for $140? Obviously they're worth the **** money you scrub. I actualy liked my 1500.1D a little bit and I still sold it for $80. Someones just mad.

it does not do rated with clean signals thats for **** sure....

Almost no signal is clean without an osciliscope you'll always have dirty signal, clipping, voltage drop, impedence rise. Yes you get what you pay for but what are you paying? $140? Turn the **** thing down 5v then so it doesn't clip. I know for a fact I got atleast 1200RMS clean out my AP because I clamped it and I tested it on an osciliscope my I have zero clipping and I stayed 13.5v and above. Yeah it does a dirty 1500RMS but it DOES it and it does it reasonably you're not going to blow any speakers off it unless you don't know what you're doing.

dude you have so many mixed opinions about it.... jus stop posting til you get your stuff together and decide on what your opinion is

How do I have mixed opinions? I don't like the amplifier personally because I like SQ and clean signal and I believe in paying retarded amounts for my equipment if I need to to be happy. But for those who don't it's a solid amplifier how is that mixed? It's called open-minded.

Your argument is flawed. You can not use dirty power unless you want to blow subs all day. So there for you theory of using power dirty or not is not a valid argument.

I stand by my words. If you can not afford $30 then you should focus on your priorities prior to buying things you do not need to live.

If you want 1k rms and you buy the ap1500 then you are ok. If you want 1500 and buy the ap1500 you lose out. I'm not sure how hard this is to understand really.

Perhaps I just understand this on a different level and I'm not sure how to explain it to some one who obviously does not understand various things about this hobby. Let me think for a bit while watching the fights and see if I can come up with a way to explain why the AP is not a good choice no matter what budget you are on and I will get back to you on that. I'm not trying to be an *** here. I honestly have a hard time explaining things at a very plain level, my wife can attest to this as she gets up set with me all the time. Luckly she has done her own research and is on my level of thinking now so this is not a worry any more lol.

I would agree if you do not need the claimed output. If you only need 2/3 of the rated power then sure the AP would be an "ok" purchase. For those that pinch pennies that bad, they do not need to buy audio because they need to focus on other things first.

dude first you stuck up and said oh thats not true then you wanted to agree on the test but still wanted to hug them. and now you are back on your ''i love ap'' trip

impedence rise does not dirty the signal up. I also need to point out, clipping is not the only way to distort sound. No it won't hurt your speakers, that doesn't mean it shoudl be used. I remember a time when in this hobby people didn't just run garbage because it was cheap. A time when people knew that if they saved a week or 2 longer they could get something much nicer. Audiopipe is highly distorted crunchy dirty sounding power that you paid the same as I paid for my DD which is rated at 1700 clamps at 2400 and will run under .5 daily.

your complaining about spending $170 on an amplifier? I have spent more then that in a night of drinking. Even for $40 that audiopipe is not a good amplifier.
That's nice that you can do that... I work 50 hours a week and do night time college online and at the end of the week after paying for everything I might have $100 to my name which usually goes into other substances and gas. So yeah I guess I'm just a broke bish with my $600 a week paycheck :-/ but alteast I'm living and running my system and I'm happy right?

You act like things have changed my older brother was doing the same **** people were doing now 10 years ago and the same with my brother in law infact I see more people as of late doing correct installs and running bigger systems off less money. So because you can get a DD for cheap as hell means we all can? I'm sorry man I just can't agree I liked my AP1500.1D for what I paid maybe not as an amplifier but for the money spent. But I do agree MBQuart is better.

and I know impedence rise doesn't create distortion but most amplifiers and incorrect setups will result in higher ohm loads which means less power which means clipping everything has a cause and effect in car audio.

is that why you have a DC amp listed in your sig?
